SCOTTISH FOLDS MAKE WONDERFUL PETS AND COMPANIONS

At Quietimes Cattery we strive to raise sweet, loving and healthy kittens and cats. This is made easier by the nature of the Scottish fold breed. The Scottish fold is an amalgam of other breeds and this reflects in their personalities.  Some of the breeds that have been introduced into the Scottish Fold are;  American and  British shorthair, Exotic Shorthair, Persian and, of coarse, the foundation stock was Barn Cat. This mix has produced an exceptional fine breed.  This mix has produced for the most part a very mentally well balanced and physically strong, clean cat. They are almost always sweet tempered, usually placid and calm, and agreeable to extensive handling. Our folds seem to get along nicely with other cats and dogs. Scottish folds adapt to almost any home situation and are as comfortable in a room full of noisy children as they are in a single person's home.  All of our kittens are lovingly hand raised from a very young age. They receive frequent handling and attention to help them develop into well adjusted family members.

We highly recommend the book Scottish Fold Cats A complete Pet Owner's Manual written by Phil Maggitti  and published by Barron's . it is available at most larger book stores  usually under $6.00. This is a paper back book with pictures has a wealth of information and many beautiful folds.
